about

Celebrating 50 years since the release of Led Zeppelin’s landmark third album, Wheel and Smith recorded this folk-rock tribute to Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp in bucolic South Wales.

“I love Led Zeppelin - I think they’re brilliant. This track is inspired by the songs of my favourite album ‘Led Zeppelin III’, mainly Bron-Yr-Aur-Stomp, Friends and Gallow’s Pole, and we’re releasing it to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its release. The song will form part of my upcoming ‘She’s The Universe’ album releases next year."
– Stephen Wheel

“Led Zeppelin III was a life-changing record for me, and those songs like Bron-Y-Aur Stomp and Gallows Pole showcase the awesome groove and musicality of Bonham." – Gareth Dylan Smith

lyrics

Miskin Mounty Stomp

I’m not for living in the past, that stuff’s so hard to find
I’m not for living in the past, that stuff’s so hard to find
I’m not for living in the past, don’t wanna be left behind

I’m basking in the now, my past no claim on me
I’m basking in the now, my past no claim on me
I’m basking in the now, my trips and falls are what brought me to your door

Golden mixed with a blue
My love for you
Now is five once was two
My golden mixed with a blue

Regrets can’t take you back, don’t let days slip by you
Regrets can’t take you back, don’t let days slip by you
Regrets can’t take you back, they’ll only leave feeling lonely and blue

Golden mixed with a blue
My love for you
Now is five once was two
My golden mixed with a blue
